Racing to School provides free Education Programmes across Great Britain at racecourses, studs and trainers’ yards. Racing to School’s curriculum-based activities are subject to on-going evaluation from participants and accompanying teachers. The feedback is consistent with the impact the charity is working to create through unique and valuable learning opportunities for all participants, using the racing backdrop and the sport’s unique assets as a fast-moving classroom. The focus on numeracy and literacy in an outdoor environment supports the student curriculum.

How we are Funded

Racing to School is the smallest charity working across and for the sport, and in 2017 has targeted to raise £500,000 to sustain and expand our work, which is provided free to our beneficiaries. The charity relies completely on voluntary donations – sought from participants, racecourses, Charitable Trusts and partners who share our objectives of investing in the education, skills and experiences of young people. Racing to School is confident that our work has a meaningful impact on young people’s lives.
