Racing to School Chief Executive John Blake, speaks to ITV about the charity and the Racing Together Community day on May 11th

It was the opening day of the historic May Festival at Britain’s oldest racecourse, Chester on May 9th and it was great that Racing to School were there with pupils from Helsby Hillside Primary. The school were attending an activity day for the fifth year in a row and were able to experience all the excitement of this iconic Roman-walled venue.

Dropping in on one of the activities was ITV Racing’s Sally Ann-Grassick, who caught up with the charity’s Chief Executive, John Blake and some of the pupils. John also spoke about the sport’s community volunteering activity and the Racing Together Community Day that is taking place on Friday 11th May.

We are very grateful to ITV for showcasing the charity’s work and for giving the pupils an extra special day to remember.
